Darker colours for 2016

Another colour as popular as the gold has been the colour blue. Although turquoise has always been a favourite colour, especially in Dubai, this season we have seen darker shades such as navy and indigo. And when this colour is mixed with a gold fabric, it looks amazing.

Marsala has also been a favourite. Darker colours for 2016 are going to remain popular. And to create an even bolder statement, just add these colours to gold and silver.

Textures

A great design trend has been to mix textures and patterns. Throughout 2016, we can expect to see this continuing. A mix of woods and metals always adds a great effect, creating a warmer classical feel with a modern twist. Small items can make the difference, and adding items such as a lamp with a metal base to a wooden table can create the effect. Adding wooden blinds is a great way of adding layers to the room.

Trends

Another trend this year has been to add vintage pieces to your décor. Vintage pieces always help a room look unique and extraordinary.

Trends in furniture for 2016

As an event furniture rentals company, we are faced with many questions about what furniture trends are in, this season. To update you, Catertainment has prepared the trends we have seen, and will continue seeing into the new year.

Colours

With regards to colours, one of the biggest colours we have seen throughout the year has been Gold. This colour has been seen on throws, cushions, picture frames and more significantly larger pieces of furniture like sofas and chairs. Other metallic colours such as silver have also been popular and a mix of these colours has also proved to be a stunning look. Throughout 2016 we can expect to see more of these colours.

Gold also looks fabulous when it is mixed with lighter colours such as white or pastels.
